LCBO to close on Mondays as a precautionary measure against COVID-19

Andrew Mohan   Mar 25 2020

LCBO has announced that its locations will now close on Mondays starting March 30 as it implements additional precautionary measures to reduce spreading COVID-19 (coronavirus).

This change comes after the Ontario government classified authorized liquor and beer providers as an essential service.

This closure does not affect the reduced hours that LCBO already has in place, meaning that locations will still be open between 11 A.M. and 6 P.M. on Tuesdays to Sundays.

The company has also asked consumers to pay using debit or credit cards to reduce the handling of cash, as well as limiting travel by picking up items for family, friends or neighbours and deliver it to them.

The Beer Store is also limiting its hours and has temporarily banned customer can recycling amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
