Art Gallery of Ontario temporarily closes operations due to COVID-19

Andrew Mohan   Mar 16 2020

This year’s March Break can be summarized as the week of cancellations and isolations, with another big attraction suspending operations.

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is now closed due to ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19.

Customers that bought tickets to events or other activities have been contacted to issue exchanges or refunds for when the gallery opens back up.

However, it is advised to contact the AGO through email since the Contact Centre will be unavailable due to this closure.

The announcement came after multiple universities suspended in-person classes and events around Toronto were cancelled.

It was also telling that this closure happened just before March Break officially began, since the Ontario government is telling people to avoid large gatherings and unnecessary travel.

The Art Gallery of Ontario plans to reopen on April 6.
