Whether they're treating you to a fresh, healthy salad, a tasty, satisfying brunch, or a savoury, sophisticated dinner, South of Temperance never fails to please. With a great range of appetizers and entrees, neither a rowdy group of friends rifling through chicken wings, nor a couple out for a romantic dinner are left out of place. One prime example are the Adelaide Street Sliders. The three miniature burgers, whose moist, tender patties are topped with gooey cheddar cheese and sweet confit cherry tomato, work just as well as a quick lunch as finger food between friends. The rack of lamb, however, served in a luscious shiraz reduction and flanked by a simple, but well-matched quinoa salad, screams upscale dining. Wow, this place is chic, service is great and the atmosphere outside is summer in the city! I love it.
It is very modern and always has daily specials. LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Where do I start? Food - favourites are bruschetta naan bread, fish tacos, apple and cheddar salad, calamari appetizer...ok stop me before I name off the entire menu. Service is great, and the atmosphere is really enjoyable too. Can't wait for the patio to re-open! It's the best in the city! Keep up the good work, South of Temperance!
So, I recently visited South of Temperance for the first time after hearing about it from several friends of mine. I was pleasantly surprised. I made a reservation in advance (due to a recommendation that I should), and good thing I did! Despite how busy it was, the service I received was outstanding. Seated right away, attended to by our server right away, received our drinks right away, and food was delivered in an appropriate amount of time (appetizers and main dish timed perfectly). Everything just seemed to run very smoothly. Quality of service is very important to me, and I was highly impressed. I think it's a tell-tale sign of the fate of a restaurant...which means I think this one will be here to stay! Well done. I will definitely be back on a regular occasion, and will spread the word...as my friends did to me! By the way, food was absolutely delicious too!

Went to South of Temperance for dinner and drinks when it first opened last year, and I still visit them on a regular occasion. Service and food are still great...and the atmosphere is always inviting. Always the first place I recommend for downtown Toronto.
